TV broadcaster Karen Davila addressed the rumors that there is a feud between her and her fellow TV broadcaster, Korina Sanchez.
In Talent manager and broadcaster Ogie Diaz’s latest YouTube vlog, Karen was featured for an interview. During the interview, Karen expressed her honest thoughts and opinions when she was asked about a rumor involving her and Korina. According to Karen, she is not a competitor of Korina.
“Ms. Karen eto lageng tinatanong ‘to sa showbiz. Magkagalit ba si Karen at si Korina?” Ogie asked Karen.
“I’d like to say it in the best way I could. Korina Sanchez was already an icon nung nagpunta po ako sa ABS. Lumipat ako sa ABS in 2001, Korina Sanchez na po siya, sikat na sikat na po siya. In other words, kailan man ay hindi po kami nag pantay. Hindi po ako competitor ni Korina, or ‘the next Korina’. The only person I can be is Karen…” Karen said.
“And I think the reason that all these things came out in the past, is because people were pitting us against each other… well ayoko naman magsinungaling, to be fair, there were periods in time naman na nag babatian kami. Pero we didn’t have the opportunity kasi to really spend time together.”
“Nasayangan lang ako in ABS was I wish Korina and I met at different circumstances that I got to know her because people tell me she’s such a good friend, a loyal friend to have…” Karen added.
