TV host Korina Sanchez expressed what she felt as she received the ‘People of the Year 2022’ award.
In her Instagram account, Korina shared several photos taken during the People Asia People of the Year 2022 Awards Night that was held at the Conrad Manila. Korina also expressed what she felt as she shared part of her speech when she received the said award.
Korina also expressed her gratitude as she congratulated her fellow awardees.
“Just part of my speech. 😍
I dont know why Im amongst this highly esteemed roster of this year’s People of the Year. I do try to be fit at my age. But I’ve not gone beyond 8 lbs of weight in each arm and cant imagine working out all my life to be an Olympic good medalist like Hidylin Diaz. I have tried my best as a journalist of 30 years. But have not dedicated my life 24-7 in the pursuit of truth and good at the possible cost of incarceration and harrassment like Maria Ressa.
But I’ve tried my best trying to live my best living the life of ten people being a journalist, animal rescuer, art lover and supporter, marine preserver as a deep sea diver, builder of homes for a few of the homeless, distributing slippers to children walking barefoot nationwide, etc. Now Im living an 11th life being a mom to twins past 50 years old.
So if this honor is about appreciation of doing the most out of this short life we have, on borrowed time— then I accept. And Thank You People Asia🥂
