Kris Aquino: “buhay ako ngayon dahil kasama ako sa prayers ninyo”

Actress and TV host Kris Aquino gave her fans and followers an update of her recent health condition. Kris has been in the US for a year now to address her autoimmune illness.

According to Kris, the treatment she is receiving has tremendous effects on her health condition. There will be times that she will feel pain all over her body six to eight hours after she had received her medication. The pain will lasts for 3 to 4 days.

Kris also posted a couple of photos showing the effect of medication to her body.

According to Kris, she is thankful that she has access to such medication:

“With treatment there’s a 70% survival rate after 5 years but with no treatment, after diagnosis the survival rate goes down to less than 25%.” said Kris.

“The dosage I’m on right now causes me to be so exhausted, feeling like i have the flu, and struggling to get out of bed.” Kris added.

Kris also thanked all those who are praying for her wellness and said that she is alive today because people include her in their prayers:

“Lemuel is both a nurse and phlebotomist his business is to do home service blood extraction. He did my blood extraction Tuesday, July 12. Bimb finished his prescription Saturday & he’s 90% recovered.

My lead doctor from UCLA, Dr John Belperio had my results Wednesday and he has the best, most positive outlook even when he’s giving bad news. i’ll try to explain my current situation without using too many medical terms. They’ll be in art cards along with some pics to help you understand where i am health wise and what a long battle i have…

1 thing is very clear to me- buhay ako ngayon dahil hindi kayo nagsasawang isama ako sa prayers ninyo even though most of you have never even met me in person. And that’s why i owe you only the TRUTH.”
