TV host and actress Kris Aquino can’t help but react to a comment made by a supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte.
In her Instagram account, Kris posted a photo of her with her two sons, Joshua and Bimby. In the photo, the three of them were seen hugging. The said photo was taken when they said their ‘goodbyes’ as Joshua chose to go back in their family compound in Tarlac.
In the comment section, one supporter of Pres. Duterte expressed admiration for Kris.
“I am a Duterte supporter but I sincerely love and respect you, Kris because you are frank and direct to the point. not a lot of Filipinos appreciate this because we are a long siffering race, and non-confrontational.
I admire the strength that you have— a result of the battles we watched and heard you share but can only imagine how they felt to be fought and won all the time.
I dont do much fan girling but I’m not ashamed to say i’m fan girling Kris Aquino— kahit pa si Digong ang President of choice ko. Much love and respect, ms. Kris.” posted the netizen.
The said comment from the netizen caught the attention of Kris as she said that she and Pres. Duterte were ‘never enemies’. Kris also shared that she always includes Pres. Duterte on her daily prayers.
“there’s no rule that a DDS shouldn’t like me- in fact i include him in my daily prayers because his decisions affect all of us Filipinos and our few interactions, he was always kind to me & fun to be with… little known fact, nung nag Davao ako, hinabol ni now SBG sa airport yung favorite na chili con carne ni brother from then Mayor D, and when i messaged brother.
Soon as i landed, i turned on my phone & he was asking if i had arrived kasi he hadn’t eaten (almost 9 pm na) because hinihintay nya yung Davao City chili con carne. We were never enemies and right now we should set aside differences and focus on our country’s health & economic recovery. May God bless all of us.” Kris replied back.
