Actress Kris Bernal can’t help but be emotional as she opened up on what she felt when GMA Network did not renew her contract.
In the latest YouTube vlog of actress and TV host Toni Gonzaga, she featured Kris for an interview. During the interview, Kris talked about her personal life and her journey in the showbiz industry. Kris can’t help but be emotional as she recalled the time when the Kapuso network did not renew her contract.
“But there was a time when you questioned your worth, nuong hindi ka ni-renew ng GMA. That was a difficult time ‘no? Kasi sabi mo dito mo nahanap yung worth mo eh.” Toni asked Kris.
“Very difficult talaga for me kasi parang, parang feel ko diba parang throughout my career nanduon ako sa network ko and then… Alam mo when I got the news, when I finally got the memo na their no longer renewing me, parang the first word talaga na nag struck sa ano ko, buong katawan ko at buong puso ko, na parang I was a failure….” Kris emotionall shared.
“Parang I just didn’t fail myself but I also failed my family. I also failed my fans, parang ganun yung dating. Pero alam mo na you did your best. Like hindi ko alam talaga. I know it was a long time ago pero hindi ko lang maintindihan kung bakit. Kasi, okay naman, I mean hindi naman ako nag a-attitude, and then sabi ko nga lagi ko namang binibigay yung best ko… And actually until today question parin siya saakin.” Kris emotionally added.
Kris also admitted that she developed some ‘insecurities’ because of what happened.
“Nagkaka-insecurities din ako kasi siyempre may mga iba na ding bago. Kumbaga parang, their open na din to renewing other actors pero yun nga…” Kris shared.
