Luis Manzano asks NBI’s help after being tagged in a fuel investment scam

Actor and TV host Luis Manzano asked the help of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate Flex Fuel Petroleum Corporation after being tagged in a complaint filed by 100 investors who allegedly failed to recover their investment.

Several investors of the said fuel company filed a complaint against Luis and businessman Ildefonso “Bong” Medel Jr., who’s the chairman and chief executive officer of the ICM Group of Companies that own the said fuel company.

In a press statement that was published by Push, the fuel company owed 66 million to Luis.

In a letter that was sent to NBI Director Atty. Medardo De Lemos dated November 8, 2022, Luis’s lawyer, atty. Regidor Caringal, defended the actor and TV host as he said that Luis already resigned as chairman of ICM group and its affiliate companies, including Flex Fuel.

Luis also asked assistance from the NBI to investigate the said matter.

In an affidavit dated December 21, 2022, Luis defended himself as he said that he never took part of the management of the said business.

“I never took part in the management of the business… Bong conducted the business in such a way that operational matters were kept away from me.” Luis shared.

“Up to now, there are still individuals reaching out to me for help and assistance regarding their investments in Flex Fuel.” Luis added.
