It’s not everyday an artist gets to release a single that almost immediately tops the charts. Maine Mendoza’s “Parang Kailan Lang” debuted at number one on PH iTunes.
A reply to a tweet by OneMusicPH revealed that Maine’s single has also landed #22 on US iTunes and #171 in Canada iTunes.

The song is about taking the time to reminisce about the past even as one looks forward to working towards the future. Parang Kailan Lang is a collaboration with Gracenote, an electro-pop-rock band. The lead vocalist Eunice Jorge has also played an important role as the song’s writer.
Parang Kailan Lang is one of the first songs to be released amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
