Netizens reacted to a declaration made by TV host and actress Melai Cantiveros to Jolina Magdangal during an episode of ‘Magandang Buhay.’
Program hosts Melai, Jolina and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid participated in a segment where they each held a placard that read “Malaya Ako”, in relation to the celebration of Independence Day.
Melai stated by sharing a funny story of her brushing her teeth “ten times a day”.
Jolina then said “Malaya akong magsuot ng sequins na palda kasi self expression” which Regine agreed.
Melai then said “Malaya rin kaming sabihin dito na ikaw talaga ang pop culture icon!.”
Netizens are now wondering if this declaration of Melai of Jolina being the ‘Pop Culture Icon’ has something to do with Julie Anne San Jose’s reference as the “Pop Icon Coach” in the program “The Voice Generations.”
