Singer comedian Michael V also known as Bitoy expressed his sadness over the passing of their sun conure pet bird, Pepper.
In his Instagram account, Bitoy penned an emotional letter as he and his family mourned the passing of Pepper. Bitoy also shared to his fans and followers what happened to their pet bird, Pepper.
“It is our first time losing a pet after a long while. Hindi ‘yung nawala o naligaw o ninakaw kundi “namatayan” ng alaga. Kung may alaga kang aso o pusa, I’m sure gets mo yung sinasabi ko, pero ‘yung alaga namin is a bird. A sun conure named, Pepper. I didn’t care much about him nu’ng dumating siya. After all, ‘yung bunso ko naman talaga ang may gusto sa kanya. My wife even got two conures para daw hindi sila malungkot in case mapabayaan. One day, ‘yung isang conure, flew away and didn’t come back leaving us with Pepper.” Bitoy shared.
According to Bitoy, their pet bird died because of a cat.
“Then today, December 6, around 3 pm, ‘yun na…nadale daw si Pepper ng pusa. Sabi ng household namin, lumipad daw si Pepper sa bakod and as soon as he landed, the cat got him by the head and dragged him away. Wala nang nagawa ‘yung mga tao namin sa sobrang bilis ng mga pangyayari. At s’yempre, hindi mo rin naman masisi ‘yung pusa,” Bitoy said.
Bitoy also shared that he and his family cried because of what happened to Pepper.
“Lahat kami sa bahay nag-iyakan. At mas lumakas pa ‘yung mga iyak namin nu’ng na-realize namin kung pa’no kami napasaya nu’ng ibon na ‘to especially during the pandemic. Natuto s’yang lumipad at dumapo sa amin ‘pag tinatawag namin s’ya. Madalas, literal na nakikitawa pa s’ya sa ‘min when he hears us laughing at humahalik sa lips namin when he gets the chance, And for a tiny creature, I never thought he’d be able to express love and gratitude but surprisingly, he did! Naramdaman naming lahat na mahal n’ya kami,” Bitoy shared.
“And now that he’s gone, I realize na wala talaga sa size, gender or even species ang pagmamahal. Basta nagmahal ka and they love you back, that’s all that actually matters… at ngayon na wala na s’ya, I realize, ang sakit pala. I never expected losing a pet can be this heartbreaking.” Bitoy added.
Bitoy also gave an advice to his fans and followers as he shared, “Kaya kayo d’yan, sana you don’t take your loved ones for granted. Lalung-lalo na if they were able to make you feel how much they love you. Mas masarap sa pakiramdam ang magmahal kesa maiwan ng mahal mo sa buhay…”
