MMDA chairman Danilo Lim passes away at 65

Malacañang announced that Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Danilo Lim has passed away. He was 65. The caused of his death is not yet confirmed but it was reported that the gallant official contracted COVID-19 last December of 2020.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Lim “served the Duterte administration with professionalism, competence and integrity. He would be dearly missed.”

MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialago said on GMA-7 Dobol B sa News TV will be made official within the day.

“Yung cause of death, lahat po, ito ay official na ia-announce anytime today. Inaantay pa namin ‘yung official announcement ng pamilya,” said Pialago.

Chairman Lim also led the conduct of the highly successful MMFF 2020 that went on full digital due to the ongoing pandemic.
