Nadine Lustre’s father Ulysses Lustre clarified his Facebook where he talked about being “flop” and “high-gross” which drew different speculations from netizens.
In a recent Facebook post, Nadine’s dad explained that he was not referring to a specific person in his post and gave his message to the haters and bashers who have been leaving negative remarks on his posts.

He wrote: “After a day of rage and accusations, let me pick up the pieces ;
My posts are my personal opinion, and your comments are also yours. The sad part is people always have the tendency to HATE rather than to UNDERSTAND, thats why we don’t have world peace.
My posts does not pertain to anybody in particular. The word ‘I’ means ME as the writer, ‘US’ means the THE TWO OF US and “YOU” is not a particular person. In english ‘YOU’ is also used to pertain to a GROUP of people.
“The words ‘FLOP’ and ‘HIGH GROSS’ pertains to two things in opposite, which I chose to use simply because I’m pertaining to the entertainment biz.
And lastly as a father, being an idealist, I’m bothered when people throws rocks to someone who spreads happiness, healing and compassion.”
Nadine’s dad then shared how proud he is of all his daughter’s achievements and gave his message to the fans as well as the haters.
“My daughter doesn’t have to prove anything to US anymore. From nobody to somebody. Three major awards in a year. Actress, singer, dancer, artist and director. Sold out concerts and multi media endorsements. And of course she attained it with the help of a lot of good people including her partner. Don’t get me wrong AGAIN, I’m not bragging just being proud.
She has inspired people for who she is in her advocacies and ideas. She pulled us and the people that surrounded her up on our knees. What’s wrong with the haters and bashers, do you hate her because there is competition? There is no competition, it’s all in your heads. The Filipino artists move us one, to promote Philippine shows.
“To all the Jadine, Nadine and James fans and supporters all over the world, my overwhelming gratitude goes to you all. Thank you for supporting and loving them thru thick and thin. To the extent of quarrelling for them. (Pls. refrain from doing so, as much as you can). Hats off to you.
“And to all the people who trespassed in my domain, leaving foul languages and vexations, your bullying days are over. May you be hiding in fake identifications and accounts, your IP address doesn’t lie. A team of IT’s, I hired yesterday is already working to flush you out. Not to mention the lawyers gathering enough evidence. Now let’s see how cybercrime law works.
I hope these ends a chapter of hate and misunderstanding. Let’s all work together for a better social media.👍”
