Netizens lauded actor Jericho Rosales and wife Kim Jones for helping Marikina residents who were trapped inside their houses because of Typhoon Ulysses. People went up to their roof as flood water continue to rise. Jericho and Kim used their surfboards to help those who are in need.
Jericho also did the same thing when storm Ondoy hit the country in 2009.
“This morning, paglabas namin, baha na. Usually kapag baha dito kasi, ganyan talaga. Laging ganyan ang problema. Sometimes walang boats or flotation devices so naglabas kami ni Kim ng surfboard,” Jericho said.
“Okay naman sila, safe naman sila, thank God. May mga iba lang na hindi na mapuntahan nung rescue teams kasi malakas na ‘yung agos and wala pang boats,” he added.”
