Netizens praised Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto for being transparent in his Christmas pack projects. Vico posted the city government’s purchase order along with the products’ suggested retail prices, which is not a common thing to do in these days.
Based on the photo posted, Pasig City officials changed the Goya Marshmallow for the more affordable Swiss Miss chocolate. The said change was cheaper by a peso which provied the city a savings of PhP 375,000 pesos.
On his Facebook posts, Vico posted photos of the purchase order for transparency, with the following caption:
“Nagsimula na! PAMASKONG HANDOG 2021!
Higit sa kasiyahang ibinibigay sa atin ng pandagdag-Noche Buena na ito, patotoo ang Pamaskong Handog na posible ang paggogobyerno na pantay-pantay ang tingin sa bawat isa, kakampi man o hindi!

Notes:
1. Wala pong bigas ang Pamaskong Handog 2021; sa bigas kasi madalas nagkakaproblema kapag ganito karaming packs. Dinamihan na lang natin yung ibang items– mas mabigat to kaysa sa last year!
2. Sa pangatlong pic makikita ang Purchase Order. Pero may change order tayo, SWISSMISS CHOCO MILK na (imbis na Goya) kaya bumaba pa ng 375,000 ang total price natin.
New total price: 625.67 pesos per bag (mas mababa sa SRP na mga 640) x 375,000 bags = 234.6M”
