TV Host Karen Davila can’t help but be surprised as Kapusa star Heart Evangelista opened up how much she earns for her artworks.
In the second part of Karen’s interview with Heart and her husband Sorsogon governor Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero on YouTube, Heart showcased some of her paintings. Heart also talked about her love for art and she admitted that she is earning ‘big amount of money’ through her artworks.
“Ang tanong ng mga manunuod, malaki ang kinikita mo duon Heart?” Karen asked Heart.
“Yes, I get a lot, a bulk of my money from that. Specially with bags, like the bags are, they come, but I stopped it, so I want it to be limited-edition, but I earn a lot. I mean, a lot of my expenses from like my bags and stuff came from my paintings, ’cause it started as ‘Don’t touch your savings. You can only spend your painting money. That’s what motivated me also, like, ‘Ah okay. Ito. I have to paint more!’ And I really enjoy…” Heart shared.
Later on, Heart showcased a painting that she is planning to sell as an NFT digital art. According to Heart, the said painting could sell up to 3 million dollars.
“So, they sell like digital art. You can either get bitcoin when they pay you or you can get dollars. So, this one, I can’t sell ’cause whoever ends up buying it, the painting can go to them. Some artists, what they do is after they sell the digital painting, they destroy the original painting, so it becomes more expensive. It’s a different world, yeah.” Heart shared.
“It can go up to three million dollars, actually, or higher. It depends… But of course if someone buys it… But I mean just being part of like the NFT group and what they do is already such a privilege. Even if they don’t buy it, I can keep the painting and one day I’ll sell it” Heart added.
Heart later on revealed how much she earns for her other artworks.
“My bags, like when I paint on bags, it’s about PhP200,000… This, if this wasn’t part of anything, and if it was a bit more simple, it can be about PhP600,000 the start…” Heart shared.
“Pero the average of what you’ve sold lately?” Karen asked Heart.
“I recently sold a painting for 3 million. Yeah, that’s cool…” Heart said.
