Pauleen Luna-Sotto shares why she reacted to netizen’s criticizing daughter Tali

Actress and TV Host Pauleen Luna-Sotto shared why she fired back at a basher for criticizing her daughter, Tali.

In an online press conference for their TV5 show “Chika Besh” with her co-hosts Pokwang and Ria Atayde, Pauleen was asked “given the issue with, you know, Tali’s basher. What is your advice to parents who are experiencing the same thing. Specially now that we are online more than ever.”

To which Pauleen answered “my point naman kasi to that one, It’s one thing to say your opinion which is totally fine. But it’s another thing to bash. To bash an innocent child. Siguro sa mga nanay, kasi okay medyo ano siya eh. Medyo halo-halo eh. There are people who support me na, sige lang ipag laban mo yan dahil anak mo yan. But there are also some people na naririnig kong sinasabing ‘wag mong i-expose yung anak mo kung ayaw mong makarinig ka ng hindi masyadong magagandang bagay’. But for me, sharing Tali with people gives me and gives them so much joy.”

“And I think mas nangingibabaw yun than the bad and the not so good comments. Because at the end of the day, why do I share my daughter. It’s because I am proud of her. Not for anything else. Pero proud na proud lang ako sa anak ko. Say what you want it’s fine coz she is my daughter. She will always be perfect to me. She will always be beautiful to me. Pero minsan may hangganan.”

Pauleen added “lahat naman tayo may mga opinyon, pero hindi naman na kailangan sabihin pa sa lahat ng tao kung hindi ito kagandahan. Now, I’am a mom and you can’t naman expect me to, pag inaapi na ba ang nilulurakan na ba yung pag katao ng anak mo. Na hindi naman maka laban para sa sarili niya. Diba? you can’t expect the mom to just sit back, watch, enjoy. Siguro yun ang kailangan maintindihan ng mga tao na once you become a mom, you will do anything and everything to protect your child.”
