Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach has apologized to National Artist for Literature Ricky Lee for the shoving incident that happen during a book fair.
Pia was on her way to the stage of the said event when he noticed Ricky standing on the side. Pia acknowledged the presence of Ricky and even thanked him for a book. Unfortunately, the guard that was tasked to protect Pia from the crowd shoved Ricky.
Netizens reacted to the said incident and said that it was a disrespectful act considering Ricky is a national artist and a senior at that.
During the “Fast Talk” program of Boy Abunda, Boy narrated that Pia has already apologized to Ricky about the incident.
“Nag-reach out na si Pia, even if it was not Pia’s fault, to apologize, to say sorry na nangyari ito,” said Tito Boy.
“Naayos na ito pero leksyon po sa atin, dahil importante na tinatrato natin ang number one, seniors. Number two, this was a book fair, this was a cultural event,” Tito Boy added.
