Pia Wurtzbach reacts to allegations that Rabiya Mateo was cheated at Miss U

Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach addressed allegations that Philippine bet Rabiya Mateo was cheated during the recently concluded Miss Universe 2020 pageant held at Florida, USA.

Miss Mexico Andrea Mezo was crowned Muss Universe 2020.

On her online show Queentuhan, Pia together with Carla Lizardo and Bianca Guidotti was asked what advice can they give to those who still couldn’t move on from the results of the competition.

“There are women who don’t make it than the ones who win. Do you think that all those other girls didn’t deserve it or they’re not amazing? Alam mo, stepping stone ang Miss Universe. Hindi naman yan ‘Ayan na tapos Miss Universe’ ka na lang forever, yan na yung peak ng life mo,’” said Pia.

“Parang ano yan eh. It opens opportunities and for Rabiya naman, I am sure that she’s going to have a big career here in the Philippines. She’s so well-loved, she’s so down-to-earth, she’s relatable and she’s funny. So gusto siya ng mga tao.” Pia added.

“I read some comments na binili daw o kaya dahil marami daw Latina sa judges. ‘Wag natin i-doubt yung organization. Kasi, wala nang manonood ng Miss Universe kung luto ito. Yun talaga yung napili ng judges, it’s her destiny, let’s be sport. Let’s shake hands and mean it. Congratulations, accept defeat, and move on.” ended Pia.
