Singer actress Pops Fernandez finally broke her silence over the controversy linking her with actor Derek Ramsay. Derek and actress Andrea Torres decided to end their relationship and made it clear that there was no third party involved in the breakup.
In a virtual press conference of her new show with former husband MArtin Nievera titled “eXes & whYs with Pops and Martin”, Pops answered the question linking her to Derek.
“It’s okay to ask about it because it’s absolutely not true. I just don’t wanna talk about it because I felt Derek and Andrea are not really talking about it. Ang weird naman na ako ‘yong magsasasalita, right?” said Pops.
“Anyway, hindi po s’ya totoo. How it started? Hindi ko rin po alam. Basta all of a sudden, ang dami-dami na lang lumabas at hindi ko alam na ang dami-dami na palang usap-usapan. As a matter of fact, ang dami-dami ko pang nakukuhang messages from some of my friends in the US and in Europe. Tinatanong nga po nila kung totoo. Hindi po totoo. How it started again? I don’t know.” Pops added.
“But unfortunately, ang masakit nu’n is ang dali palang maniwala ng mga tao ngayon. I mean, once it’s posted, I think on YouTube, sunod-sunod na. Parang nobody really bothered to find out the truth about it so, hindi po totoo.” Pops said.
“We never really, I can count the times that I have seen Derek and during those times we were also with Andrea. And after that, hindi na po. We don’t talk to each other. We don’t really text each other.” ended Pops
