Most of the local celebrities have spoken out to renounce the corruption allegations surrounding the government’s flood control project.
Based on the initial investigation, billions of pesos reportedly changed hands among different individuals, prompting citizens to march in the streets to express their dissatisfaction and disappointment over how their taxes were handled.
Actress and singer Regine Velasquez-Alcasid was among those who voiced her disgust at the situation.
On X (formerly Twitter), Regine tweeted the following:
