Basketball player Ricci Rivero have been receiving criticisms and insults from netizens since he broke up with his former girlfriend actress Andrea Brillantes.
Ricci was accused of using Andrea for his own popularity.
Ricci got more bashing after he announced that he and former beauty queen Leren Mae Bautistia are in a relationship. Netizens post hate messages on his social media pages.
Some even wished harm to the family of Ricci:
“Etong pamilya ni Ricci Rivero dinadamay pa si God sa mga pinag sasabe nila. Kunin mo na nga sila God para matahimik na mga yan”
Another netizen posted “Lagi yan dito samin sa Los Baños ano gusto mo gawin ko meme”
Another said “Pag untugin mo bhiee ng matauhan haha”
This did not escape the attention of Ricci and the basketball player defended his family:
“If you think wishing death for my family makes you noble, i think your fascination with showbizness needs some serious reflection Mr. Magna Cum Laude of PUP.” said Ricci.
