Actor Robin Padilla revealed that he is in favor of the mandatory military service for all Filipinos reaching the age of 18.
It can be recalled that recently, Davao City mayor and Vice Presidential aspirant Sara Duterte said that she is going to push the imposition of the mandatory military service if she wins as Vice president in the upcoming elections.
In Robin’s Facebook page, he reacted to a poll made by News5 on their Facebook account. In the said poll, New5 wrote, “Pabor ba kayo sa mandatory military service para sa lahat ng pinoy pagtungtung ng edad na 18?”
Robin expressed his honest thoughts and sentiments as he shared that he is in favor of the said mandatory military service.
“Oo. Dapat Lang po. Bukod po sa usapin ng disiplina at responsibilidad. Ito po ay pag ibig at pagsisilbi sa Inangbayan at mamamayan. Lalo na sa rescue at calamity response mahalaga ang training at service.
Hindi naman ito pagkitil ng kalayaan. Ang mga bansang Malaya na nasa Europa, Israel at Korea atbpa
ay meron nito. Wag ito masamain walang masama sa kabataan ang maging physically fit at pumasok sa ultimate adventure.” Robin wrote.
