Actor turned politician Senator Robin Padilla admitted he is having difficulty understanding Senate debates especially if his colleagues starts discussing in fluent English.
Padilla said he will read the journal the next day and will underline the words that he do not understand and asked his staff to brief him about the words.
“Nahihirapan lang ako pag nag-e-Englishan na, medyo ‘pwede dahan-dahan lang?’ Kaya mahalaga yung journal eh, kaya binabasa ko yung journal kasi nandun lahat eh, mahalaga yun,” said Padilla.
Padilla topped the senate race during the 2022 election with more than 26 million votes.
“Ang journal ko, may mga linya. ‘Pag may linya ‘yun ibig sabihin kailangan ko ng dictionary,” added Padilla.
Netizens praised the senator for being honest and straightforward.
