Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa filed his certificate of candidacy to run for president in the coming 2022 election.
After filing, Senator Bato was asked how he arrived with his decision to run for president.
“Ang partido ang nag-decide na tumakbo ako. Matagal na, pero tinatago lang namin. ‘Yun ang diskarte para kasi kung maaga ka magbalita, wala titirahin ka kaagad,” said Senator Bato.
Asked if he will be replaced later on by Davao Mayor Sara Duterte. This is what Senator Bato said:
“Eh di mas maganda. This is a partner decision, this is not my personal decision. Kasi kung ako lang masusunod, kung patatakbuhin nila ako, tatakbo pa rin ako,” Senator Bato answered.
“I don’t know kung may pinagusapan sila. Basta ako I am running to become the next President of the Republic of Philippines.” Senator Bato said.
When asked if his filing is a mockery of the election process.
“Why? Do I look like a mockery to you? I won as a senator, number 5 po ako last election. Is that mockery?” answered Senator Bato.
