The decision of the National Telcommunication Commission (NTC) to shutdown the operations of ABS-CBN has somehow divided the country in terms of their opinions as to whether the decision made was lawful or not.
To some, they say the decision of NTC is just right because strictly speaking – ABS-CBN’s franchise really expired. But to some, the decision came at the wrong time since the entire country is in crisis due to the COVID-19 crisis. To others, it was a form of curtailing press freedon.
