Senator Sotto reacts to SEA Games complains: “Ano ba gusto natin, maging champion o maging GRO?”

Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto defended the people behind the preparation of the 30th SouthEast Asian Games saying we are being ‘too hospitable’ and it is not to our advantage. Sotto participated in the Philippine bowling team as a player and as a coach.

“We are too hospitable! In the SEA/Asian games I’ve participated in, we were left by the host country to fend for ourselves. If possible, they even make us uncomfortable to make sure we lose to them.” said Sotto. “Why do you think the host country always wins? The host country is not supposed to feed them.” added Sotto.
