Fifteen senators are calling for the the immediate resignation of Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III “for his failure of leadership, negligence, lack of foresight and inefficiency” regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 15 senators are: Senators Sotto, Recto, Zubiri, Angara, Binay, Poe, Pacquiao, Gatchalian, Tolentino, Villanueva, Dela Rosa, Marcos, Lapid, Revilla, and Lacson.
In a tweet by Shaila Garde of GMA News, the senators want Duque out because of his failure in leadership as health secretary that resulted to poor planning, delayed response, lack of transparency, and misguided policies that endandered and continue to endanger the lives of healthcare and professionals, other frontliners, and the Filipino people.
