Eat Bulaga host Tito Sotto revealed the reasons behind the group’s decision to move and accept the invitation of TV5. Tito, Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon announced that they are cutting ties with TAPE, Inc. due to irreconcilable differences.
In an interview with Cito Beltran, Tito said they considered a lot of things before coming up with the decision to move to TV5.
Foremost of which is the Kapatid network trusted the group with the content of the show.
“The important thing is they trust us with the contents of the show. We have been doing the show for 44 years, kaya all of a sudden papasok ka and you will come with your own ideas and production na sa amin ay luma na, you dont trust us. You already have a different agenda.” said Tito Sen.
“Kami ang bahala sa content. They dont have any control on that. Of course the slot will be decided by management.” added Tito Sen.
Tito also added that the group also considered the reach of the network that would allow them to reach more people.
“MediaQuest and TV5 has numerous other platforms and not just television. On the internet, cable, they have Cignal TV, PLDT, and other affiliate telvision stations and satellites.” Tito Sen said.
“If you want to reach more people, I think that was the best decision for us to join the Kapatid channel.” added Tito Sen.
