Tom Hanks and wife Rita test positive for COVID-19

Actor Tom Hanks revealed that he and his wife Rita Wilson was tested positive for the COVID-19. In an Instagram post released by the actor, Hanks said that he and his wife have been diagnosed with coronavirus.

Hanks started off the post with a small description of their initial symptoms.

“We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too.” he explained. “To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and we were found to be positive.”

Amidst the panic brought about by the COVID-19, Hanks urges everyone to follow through with the appropriate medical procedures and to take the battle against the pandemic one day at a time.

“Well now, what to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”

His lighthearted post is an uplifting message for those who are infected, or who are taking measures against being infected, by the coronavirus. The Hanks are currently being isolated at the Gold Coast University Hospital in Queensland, Australia.

More than 125,000 people across 100 countries have been infected by the coronavirus.
