Actors Vice Ganda, Lea Salonga, Pokwang, Zsa Zsa Padilla and other celebrities reacted to the sudden surge of COVID-19 cases in the country. It has been a number of days that the number of cases have breached the 7,000 mark.
Just today (March 22, 2021), 8,019 new cases were reported.
Celebrities took to their respective social media accounts to expressed their concern over the sad development:

Lea Salonga: “It wasn’t that long ago that we got the cases to below 1,000. Many of us were starting to breathe sighs of relief. And now, it looks like we’ve contributed a new variant to the existing ones (because viruses will mutate, hence no cure for even the common cold or flu).”
