Celebrated dermatologist and doctor to the stars Dr. Vicki Belo opened up on how she raised her daughter, Scarlet Snow.
In the latest YouTube vlog of Talent manager and broadcaster Ogie Diaz, he featured Vicki for an interview. During the interview, Vicki talked about her daughter, Scarlet. Vicki also shared a cute story during one of their vacation in Paris as she shared that she doesn’t want to buy all the things that Scarlet wants despite their status in life.
“Yung first store kasi na pinuntahan namin Hermes… Nung pumasok kami ng store andami niya nakitang scarves of animals eh mahilig siya sa animals so sabi niya, ‘Mommy can I buy the tiger scarf?’
Pinagbigyan ko ng one scarf tapos nakita ko nakita niya pop-up book animals, ‘Mommy can I buy this book?’ Sabi ko ‘Scarlet you know this is not a toy store,’sabi ko ‘darling we don’t have the money to buy all of these, I can buy you one thing, you choose.” Vicki shared.
“Tapos biglang nalang umupo siya gumanon, sabi niya ‘daddy, I want to have so many things but I don’t have the money. I won’t look na lang.’ Naka-cover ‘yung mata niya the whole time. Gan’un siya hindi siya nag-sho-shop or anything,” Vicki added.
“Tiniis mo na wag siyang ibili.” Ogie quipped.
“Yeah. Kayang kaya ko naman. Nahihirapam ako kasi of course I want Scarlet to love me so kung pwede ko lang ibribe at ibigay lahat ng gusto niya. Gagawin ko…
With Scarlet, ayokong ibigay lahat kasi hindi nakakatulong talaga. Kung feeling ko lang makakatulong sa future niya at magiging happier person siya I would do it but I always stop myself because I know it would be good for her to withhold things.” Vicki said.
“And one thing about Scarlet, indi siya talaga mahingi, mas ano siya, ‘play hide and seek with me’, patintero, gusto niya yung time, quality time.” Vicki added.
