Former actress and Batangas 6th district Rep. Vilma Santos-Recto maintained that as far as she is concerned, there was not ‘conflict of interest’ when she voted in favor of granting ABS-CBN its application for a new franchise.
Santos who was interviewed by Karen Davila said she does not have an existing contract and is not a stock holder of ABS-CBN.

“Wala naman akong existing na kontrata with ABS-CBN, and am not part of the management or the operation of the company. Same thing with my son, si Luis naman he is already an adult, may desisyon na sya para sa sarili nya. And at the same time, he is just a talent. Kami dalawa ng anak ko hindi naman kami mga stockholders mg kompanya. So wala akong nakikitang conflict of interest dun.” said Santos.
