‘Starla’ stars Meryll Soriano and Joem Bascon earlier became a hot topic online after the two were spotted celebrating the new year together along with the actress’ family.
It was after Joem recently confirmed his break up with his long-time girlfriend Crisha Uy whom he had been with for 7 years.

During the Kapamilya series’ thanksgiving dinner, Meryll and Joem were grilled by the members of the press over their rumored rekindled romance as it can be remembered that the two became a couple when they were doing the 2008 series ‘I Love Betty La Fea’ but ended their relationship the following year.
Joem said when asked about his rumored reconciliation with Meryll: “Very special for us ang Starla kasi sobrang, ang daming pagkakaibigan na nangyari, naging well-bonded kami.”
“Meron kaming nabuong samahan even after kami na hindi nagte-taping, nagsasama kami, nagkikita kami minsan and we get together. Yeah, it’s very special for me especially kasi sobrang tagal kasi naming ginawa ang Starla so aamin namin na talagang naging magbabarkada kami, naging masaya kami na magkakasama.”
When Meryll and Joem’s new year celebration was mentioned, Meryll refused to comment and said: “Happy New Year! Happy 2020!”
