Fans of the hit Korean movie ‘Miracle in Cell no. 7’ have been anticipating the Pinoy version of the film which will be an official entry in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
After Nadine Lustre, who was originally introduced as the main character, was replaced by Bela Padilla, young actress Xia Vigor has been revealed to play the role of the young lead role with whom the story will revolve, alongside Aga Muhlach who will portray the the male lead character.

On his Instagram account, Aga shared a photo of him with Xia taken during their shooting day ad expressed his admiration to the young actress.
He wrote: “Me and my leading lady! Xia Vigor! Sobrang cute! Grabe! She plays my daughter in the movie “ Miracle in Cell no. 7” ? excited to announce the many great actors I’ll be workin with in this movie. Soon!! ?? @xiabernardo @xia.vigor #vivafilms #MMFF”
In a previous interview, Nadine confirmed her withdrawal from the project, citing her health as one of the reasons why she backed out.
According to Nadine, she needed to take a break from doing movies as she has starred in two consecutive films for this year— “Ulan” and “Indak”.
She said: “Yes I mean it’s a good project but to say na wala nang darating na magandang project in the future… para sa akin, uunahin ko lang ‘yung sarili ko and health ko.”
