The Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69 has granted Kapamilya star Vhong Navarro’s petition for bail.
It can be recalled that Vhong is being accused of raping model Deniece Cornejo.
In a Twitter post made by ABS-CBN’s Mike Navallo, he posted photos of the official court document dated December 5, 2022, Presiding Judge Loralie Cruz Dataman.
The Taguig Regional Trial Court allowed Vhong to post 1 million bail for his provisional liberty after the examination of the evidences that was presented in the bail hearings.
Written in the official court document:
“Viewed in light of all foregoing, and taking evidence in the bail hearings as a whole, this court is not convinced at this point, that there exists a presumption great leading to the inference of the accused’s guilt.”
“It must be emphasized, however, that a grant of bail does not prevent the court, as a trier of facts, from making a final assessment of the evidence after full trial on the merits.”
