Netizens criticize Vice Ganda: “After mo magbakasyon, hihingi ka ng donasyon”; Vice reacts

TV host Vice Ganda was criticized by some netizens because of “Funkaboggable” Donation Drive aimed at helping the survivors of Typhoon Ulysses. People were affected by the said typhoon rendering a lot of people homeless due to heavy rains and floods.

Vice called out to netizens to help and donate and the money that they were able to collect was used to buy relief goods and was distributed to those in affected areas.

But there are some netizens who felt should have given more and used his own money and even compared Vice to Willie Revillame, Heart Evangelista and KC Concepcion who also made their own fund drives.

Here are some of the comments:

– “Why are you asking for help when you can very well donate on your own. What with your massive display of (y)our wealth supposedly? I can’t believe you!”

– “AFTER MO MAG BAKASYON HIHINGI KA NG DONASYON?”

Vice reacted to the comments during the program “It’s Showtime.”

Vice was able to raised around PhP 1.5 million and distributed the relief goods at once to different affected areas.
