Mrs. Sharon Dacera, mother of flight attendant Christine Dacera addressed the allegations about the P2-million insurance claim.
In TV host Boy Abunda’s YouTube channel, he had a chance to interview some lawyers involving Christine’s case and Christine’s family members.

Boy asked Sharon “Sharon meron nanaman akong napakahirap itanong. I have this difficulty asking you this questions dahil, but I only have to ask them because they’re not legal they’re very emotional. But kailangan marinig eh. You know there is this accusation, there is this aspersion that you’re sticking to your story because you’re running after your insurance benefits of your daughter.”
To which Atty. Brick Reyes clarified “this insurance policy they are referring to has not been applied for by the Dacera’s. For the simple reason that they dispute the certificate of death of Dr. Sarmiento. In order to be able to apply for benefits, you have to submit a certificate of death to the insurance company. We did not have that certificate of death approved by the Civil Registry of Makati because we dispute the findings. Otherwise, we would have implied they have accepted the findings. So there’s no application for benefits. She has not received a single centavo benefits from this alleged insurance policy.”
Sharon also said “Para sa akin sir Boy, hindi naman insurance pinag-uusapan natin dito eh, yung hustisya para sa anak ko. Yung hustisya para sa anak ko. Puwede siguro akong sir Boy mangutang ng two million pesos, mabuhay pa kaya nila si Christine? Yun yung tanong ko.”
