Actress Bela Padilla joined the call for sellers not to increase the prices of face masks in the light of the Taal Volcano eruption. It has been reported that there are certain merchants who are selling face masks at PhP 200.00 when the original price is around PhP 30.00 to Php 50.00.
Face masks run out of stock due to panic buying from people who wants to protect themselves from the ashfall brought about by the volcanic eruption.

Bela made the appeal during her guest appearance on “It’s Showtime.”
“Sa mga nagsasamantala sa panahon ng kalamidad, Hoy Huwag kayong ganyan,” said Bela. “Nagagalit talaga ako eh. Nakita ko doble doble triple ang presyo eh. Huwag po tayong magdagdag” added Bela.
