Daniel Padilla and Charo Santos to star in a movie about typhoon Yolanda

Kapamilya star Daniel Padilla and ABS-CBN executive Charo Santos-Concio are set to star in an upcoming film about the struggles of a mother and son following the devastating typhoon Yolanda.

In photos shared on social media, Charo and Daniel together with their co-star Francinne Rifol also known as MNL48’s Rans gave a glimpse of their characters during their photo shoot for the movie titled ‘Kun Maupay Man It Panahon’ or ‘Whether the Weather is Fine’.

The said film to be directed by Carlo Francisco Manatad i a joint production of iWant, Quantum Films, Black Sheep, and Globe Studios, together with Cinematografica, Plan C, House on Fire (France), AAND (Singapore) KawanKawan (Indonesia).

The film’s synopsis says: “Against the backdrop of the typhoon Yolanda, a mother (Santos) and her son (Padilla) struggle for survival and deal with absurdity of fate, sustained by the hope that they carry, and what is lost and gained.”
