Actor Derek Ramsay revealed that he was recently rushed to the hospital due to prolonged exposure of his eyes to UV light.
Derek recalled the incident during an online interview with GMA’s show titled “Mars Pa More” hosted by Iya Villania and Camille Prats. Derek narrated “nung isang araw, last week ata natakbo ako sa ER. Being myself na mister fix it, meron akong UV light dito sa bahay. Uhm may ano ako eh, just to be safe, diba kill the virus, so I decided to turn on my UV light. Tapos nakita ko na parang nag fli-flicker siya so inayos ko.”

Andrea added that she reminded Derek not to look straight to the UV light but Derek looked at it. Derek added “mga alas siyete ng gabe toh, and yun nanuod pa kami ng Netflix, nag dinner pa kame, everything. Then mga 2am, hindi ko na madilat yung mata ko. Talagang they were burning, so ayaw ko naman siyang gisingin. I went to the bathroom nag hugas ako ng mata, it got worse. And then it just got worse and worse so napilitin na akong gisingin si Andrea at ‘itakbo niyo na ako sa hospital’. So tinakbo nila ako sa ospital”
Derek also shared that he was screaming in pain when Andrea put eye drops on him. Derek added “they rushed me to the hospital. Yun nga dahil nga daw sa UV light”
