President Rodrigo Duterte again made his statement regarding the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN network that is set to expire on March 30, 2020. The President has been vocal about his objection about ABS-CBN francise renewal because of it failure to air his ads during his presidential campaign despite paying for the ad.
“Itong ABS mag-expire ang contract ninyo. Mag-renew kayo, ewan ko lang kung may mangyari diyan. Kung ako sa inyo ipagbili n’yo na ‘yan. Kasi ang mga Pilipino ngayon lang makaganti sa inyong kalokohan. And I will make sure that you will remember this episode of our times forever.” said the President.
