Gerald Anderson expresses appreciation for “warm welcome” during Basilan trip

Actor Gerald Anderson had a worthwhile trip to Basilan where he had the chance to meet with the locals and give a basketball clinic to the youth.

In a video he shared on his Instagram account, Gerald along with some members of the military spent time with the community and even played basketball with the kids who seemed happy to see the actor.

He then expressed his appreciation to the locals who gave him a warm welcome as she wrote in the video’s caption: “I had a great experience in basilan 🙌🏻 im just sad i could not be on the court with my team due to an injury but i was still able to see the beauty of basilan and give a basketball clinic to the youth .. maraming salamat sa mainit na welcome sa akin 😊 mabait at warm ang mga taga-Basilan 😊 .. Beautiful Basilan #phenomproductions”

It can be remembered that Gerald recently made it to the headlines after being booed by the crowd during UP and Ateneo’s basketball game when he was flashed on the screen.

Gerald gained backlash after his break up with actress Bea Alonzo which sparked other controversies involving his alleged relationship with Julia Barretto which they both denied.
