Actor James Reid has released an official statement regarding his decision to separate from the Viva Group and not renew his contracts with the management.
In his statement through his lawyers at Kapunan & Castillo Law Offices, James expressed his gratitude to the bosses and everyone at Viva who has contributed to his career’s success.

Part of James’ statement says: “To put an end to all the recent speculation, Mr. James Reid would like to make it clear that, after careful deliberation, he has decided not to renew his contracts with the Viva Group. James greatly appreciates the enormous contribution that has been made by his friends at Viva, especially ‘Boss Vic’ del Rosario and the management group, and expresses his sincere gratitude to everyone at Viva who has contributed to the success of his career in the Philippines’ entertainment industry over the past 7 years.”
James also thanked his friends and colleagues in ABS-CBN especially Ms. Cory Vidanes and assured his fans that he will continue to dedicate his media activities exclusively to the network.
The actor is now focusing on his music label Careless Manila and his own family management company, Reid Entertainment, Inc. James is also recuperating from the injuries he sustained during the training for the ‘Pedro Penduko’ movie and “should also be in the position to renew his screen activities in the not-too-distant future.”
