Host and actress Melai Cantiveros has been gaining praises from netizens after a Facebook user revealed that she gave away P500 each to 18 fishermen during their visit in Antique together with her ‘Magandang Buhay’ co-hosts Karla Estrada and Jolina Magdangal.
On Instagram, Darla Sauler shared screenshots of netizen Flord Calawag’s Facebook post who expressed his admiration to Melai over her thoughtful gesture.

The netizen wrote: “I have met and brought some celebrities in Antique but Momshie Melai Cantiveros is one of those that I admire because of her good heart, sense of humor and being a true Filipina. Matapos nyang ma experience ang lambaklad fishing sa Malabor, Tibiao, namigay sya ng tig P500 sa 18 mangingisda. Ipinakita nya ang kanyang kagandahang loob matapos maranasan kung gaano kahirap ang buhay ng mga mangingisda noong Nobyembre 15, 2019. Kasama ang mga co-hosts na sina DJ JhaiHo and KaladKaren, pumunta sila sa laot habang umuulan at maalon. Matapos ang isang oras, limang talakitok at isang botete lang ang kanilang nahuli. 🐟”
Darla then expressed appreciation and love to Melai and wrote in the Instagram post’s caption: “Posts like this make me love you so much more my deares Melai, @mrandmrsfrancisco. Alam ko ayaw mo talagang nilalabas tong mga ganto mo. Pero super proud lang talaga ako sa’yo isay. Ambot uy makahilak na lang jud ko kay wala juy nabag-o sa imo since the first time nga magkita ta paggawas ninyo sa balay ni Kuya. Well, mas gwapa lang jud ka karon. Hehehe! Melai responded to Darla’s post in the comments section as she wrote in Cebuano: “madam ui salamat madam pero ikaw madam ba ayaw na madam maulaw ta . Ang Ginoo naghatag ana dili ako , sa Ginoo ang pagdayeg ug pagpasalamat ❤️ Cya may nihatag naku tanna , gamay ra baya na madam mao rapoy nakayanan ana nga time 🙂 hihihuhuhuhu”
