Oyo Sotto warns netizens over fake news about him: “Hindi sa akin galing ang mga salitang nasa picture”

Actor Oyo Sotto gave a warning to his followers and fans after a post featuring his face and his alleged statement slamming Filipinos started resurfacing online.

On his Instagram account, Oyo re-posted the said photo and denied saying the statement quoted on the post, asking the creator of the post to delete it.

The statement allegedly quoted from Oyo says: “Kapag ibang bansa ang binomba, lakas niyo maka #PrayForFrance, etc. Pero nung ang Pinas na GINAWA NIYO LANG BIRO? Sinisi niyo agad ang Presidente? Puro kayo talksh*t! Mga hypocrite! Nlulungkot ako dahil may mga Pinoy na katulad niyo! Kinahihiya ko kayo! KAYA DI UMUUNLAD ANG PILIPINAS DAHIL SA INYO! – OYO SOTTO”

Oyo then clarified in the post’s caption: “GUSTO KO LANG PO LINAWIN NA HINDI SA AKIN GALING ANG MGA SALITANG NASA PICTURE. MATAGAL NA PO ITO, MAY NAGKALAT NA NAMAN. DOON PO SA GUMAWA NITO, PAKI DELETE AT WAG PO SANA GAMITIN ANG KUNG SINO MAN NA HINDI NAMAN TALAGA NAG SABI NYAN. MAG INGAT PO TAYO SA FAKE NEWS. SALAMAT PO. #MaramingNamamataySaAkala”
