President Duterte accepted the apology of ABS-CBN through an interview by the press in The Malacanang Palace.
The apology was initiated by ABS-CBN President Carlo Katigbak while on Senate hearing. The president talked about his stand on the Quo Warranto issue of the network.

He was asked about if he is keen to support the renewal of the franchise of the Kapamilya network after Katigbak said sorry. This is what he said:
“Wala, ano ako, wala akong, basta ang sabi ko tinatanggap ko nayun.” He even denied that he talked about this issue to someone else, and pledge that he would resign if someone would declare that he spoke about this even before.
He added that he will cross the bridge when he gets there and revealed that it will be a difficult decision for him.
