Singer actress Regine Velasquez-Alcasid like the other artists expressed her concerned about her future after ABS-CBN was denied by Congress to renew their franchise. Regine together with her husband Ogie Alcasid are talents of the Kapamilya Network.
ABS-CBN already announced that the company will start their retrenchment plan and will scale down its operations due to recent developments. Programs are starting to be cancelled and some talents have been released as well.

On her Twitter account, Regine posted the following which she later on deleted:
“Habang tumatagal aaminin ko napanghihinaan na ako ng loob. Hindi ko alam kung may trabaho pa kaming lahat. Ang nakakalungkot parang ikinatuwa pa ng mga taong dapat ay nagtatangol sa ating karapatan. Bakit ganito??? Sana panaginip lang lahat ng ito.”
