Now, Panelo has clarified that Filipinos have a support system that they can readily rely on throughout the quarantine.

(First things first, we just recently received our salaries. This means that we have funds for the next fifteen days. And if we haven’t, we have our extended families that we can rely on. We also have good neighbors, and a government that is ready.)

The Metro Manila area has declared a community quarantine from March 15 to April 14 in attempts to curb the spread of the coronavirus. It has currently affected 140 people across the Philippines and killed twelve.
