Senator Koko Pimentel asked for the public’s understanding in relation to the Makati Medical Center where he allegedly breached of protocol since he was tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The Makati Medical Center issued a statement denouncing the actions made by the senator which according to the hospital, put other patients and people in danger.
In an article published by GMA News, Sen. Pimentel said he took a swab test on Friday and only received the results on Tuesday, the same time he was in the hospital with Kathryna, who is due to give birth.

“Una sa lahat, hindi naman ako umuubo so hindi ako nakakalat ng droplets. Wala ako ubo so ‘wag masyado matakot,” Pimentel said.
“Humihingi na lang po siguro ako ng understanding. Siyempre kahit sino namang tao, ama ay magiging excited. Hindi ko naman po alam,” added Pimentel.
Pimentel is the second senator to test positive for the virus after Senate Majority Floor Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri.
