A source close to Sonny Alcos who made an online rape threat against singer Frankie Pangilinan claimed that the account of Alcos was hacked. Singer actress Sharon Cuneta vowed to do everything to protect her daughter Frankie after Alcos allegedly posted the following:
“BE THANKFUL, LITTLE GIRL… GO HIDE BEHIND YOUR SENATOR FATHER…BECAUSE I WILL FIND YOU AND RAPE YOU. THEN YOU’LL BLAME YOUR DAD BECAUSE I WON’T BE JAILED.”

A netizen who claimed to know Alcos claimed that the account of Alcos was hacked:
“MR CO’s Account was hacked he did not post such remark. Mismong church nga nila nag deactivate na, yung wife nya nag privae ng FB at nag change ng profile pic. I know their family since grade school. Sana di mavictimize ng hackers family nyo and di nyo ma experience yung ma eexperience nila. GOD BLESS po.”
Netizens refused to believe the reason given and they posted their opinion on the said claim:
