It’s Showtime’s segment ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ has become a hot topic on social media following the controversy about the results of the ‘ultimate resbak’ between contestants Mariane Osabel and Mariko Ledesma.
During the said episode, television viewers and netizens were shocked after Mariane received a notably low score of 16.50% from the judges despite gaining 50% of the text votes.

Mariko then advanced to the next round after gaining 50% of votes from the judges and 33.74% of text votes.
Netizens have since been calling for ‘justice’ as the hashtag #JusticeForMariane became trending on Twitter.
On her Facebook account, Mariane expressed her gratitude to the people who supported her and assured them that what happened will not keep her from achieving her goal.
She wrote: “Good morning beautiful people! 😘
I don’t know where to start but I can only say how thankful and blessed I am. I know a lot of you are confused and frustrated, so am I. But don’t worry kasi hindi ako magpapaapekto and that wont stop reaching for my goal! 😁 Kung hindi para sa akin, kahit ano pang gawin ko, tumambling man o lumuhod, di talaga yan akin.
